Matthew Abatemarco is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law where he received multiple honors for his understanding and mastery of Family Law.
Matthew’s goal during the divorce process is to arrive at an amicable solution that provides for the long tem health of his clients’ legal, financial and emotional well being.
As a legal professional, former high school teacher, and now as a father of two, he is committed to changing the way divorce is resolved. Matthew sees how important it is for children to see parents communicate respectfully.
“By peacefully resolving conflicts and putting down the sword long enough to listen to one another, divorcing parties can come to a solution that will benefit them, and their children, far into the future.”
Education
Matthew received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law. He received the Deborah Michael Richards Award for excellence in the area of family law. Additionally, Matthew was a recipient of the Mary Philbrook Award for his commitment to public interest law. Finally, Matthew was awarded the Dean’s Award for highest grade in Domestic Violence Practice and Procedure.
Prior to his law school education, Matthew attended St. Peter’s College where he graduated 3rd in the class with a B.A. in History & Philosophy. There he received the Tzawchuk (history), Timlin (philosophy), and MNOP Awards. He was also a member of several honors societies including Phi Sigma Tau, Phi Alpha Theta, Alpha Sigma Nu, Kappa Delta Pi.
